David was headliner pre Moby.
We were there only to see Bowie, and not many were in the crowd when the band came on stage…
Slowly the crowd filled in and not an ass in a seat.
He was "old" but everyone realized they know more tracks than they would have admitted, or knew…
Then with the typical weather we got all wind. And like any amphitheater it just funnels down to the stage
David walked to the edge of a thrust or just the stage and un did his tie so that the wind took it and just worked it…
Worked the environment too
It was brilliant.
No cameras unless you had press/AV passes back then, and we were just kids loving Bowie.
RIP to my partner in crime that day. She's defiantly at the after party for the great gig in the sky.
