During the band intro there is again quite some jabbering by Bowie, the only intelligible words being; "Just a little something we have in here to screw up. By the way thank you very much for coming. In 1976 I made an album called Young Americans",which is followed by a cheerful version of the title song thereof. "1976" he says; oh well, dates have never been his forte; whenever he mentions dates he is usually one or two years off the mark. "All the way from Washington" Bowie sings,and ofcourse the audience respond to that!

David Bowie - 1983 Souvenir Serious Moonlight Tour
I had a company party that day & decided to fill up my 80 pinto up with a bunch of drunks ( of course I wasn’t ) & drove from Balto. to DC . I had a ball. I saw David come out before the concert & look at the audience out of some corridor 1/2 way up. I yelled David & he turned & saw me waving. He waved back. No one else saw him but me.
I was at David Bowie’s concert at the Capitol Center on 8/27/1983. Great concert! We were so fortunate to get tickets and enjoy David Bowie and his music.
