Recorded date: June 27, 2000. This was an intimate performance for a small audience of competition winners, recorded shortly after his legendary Glastonbury performance that same month.
Released: Original (Partial) Release: September 2000 (A 15-track version was included as a bonus disc with initial copies of the Bowie at the Beeb compilation) - 2021 Full Release: November 26, 2021. For the first time, the complete 20-track concert was released as a standalone double album (vinyl and CD) within the Brilliant Adventure (1992–2001) box set.
This live album captures David Bowie at a creative peak, performing in an exceptionally intimate setting. While his Glastonbury 2000 set is often cited as his greatest live moment, many fans prefer the BBC Radio Theatre recording for its superior sound quality and relaxed, conversational atmosphere.
The 2021 version is significant because it finally presents the full performance as it happened, including tracks that were previously omitted from the 2000 bonus disc, such as "Always Crashing in the Same Car," "The London Boys," and "I'm Afraid of
