This is from an album called Low, this is called Breaking Glass”.”As I said before,I do versions of songs that I like very much, one of this was t~is one,it’s called Sorrow. Earlier Tony Thompson had made a mistake at the transition from Fashion to Let’s Dance: “Oeh-wah,totototototototo fa-fa-fa-fa-fashion” went on too long because Tony forgot to mark the beginning of Let’s Dance on his drums. Bowie looked back to draw his attention to the omission, but it was so slight, noone realised.
Bowie danced much less than in Brussels, but his magic voice, though it had suffered slightly by the tour, sounded from of old, going right to the bone.
After White Light,White Heat Bowie went backstage to change, and during Station to Station he returned, blue shirt, white trousers with buttons. At the back of the stage he stood headbanging with his hands: swaying his head to and fro he started freaking to Slick’s solo. He was much happier now and enjoyed himself much more; now the fun really started. During the first part of Cracked Actor Bowie gave a sudden laugh when he looked at the skull, and missed a line. No one understood what was happening so,after a giggly band intro he explained: “I’d also like to explain that the skull I had earlier, had gold teeth and a piece of cellophane on the top of its head”. Someone backstage had stuck golden-coloured stickers to the teeth! There were more of such jokes during the tour, for instance in Wembley, when George Simms wanted to roll a cigarette and could only find salade for tabacco! “I’d like to give you this” Bowie said and kicked the balloon to the audience, who were again shouting “Bowie,Bowie!”.
Young Americans was played with much joy,it was real fun under the blue sky, the light of the full moon and all those laughing faces of the many people who had longed for this night so much. “Now ain’t there one damn song, that can make me … “ Bowie sang, and held out the microphone to the audience to make it reply ” … break down and cry”. “I don’t want to go out,I want to stay in,rehearse my songs” Bowie sang when he returned for Modern Love.

That afternoon at about 5pm Bowie had been interviewed by Cinevisie,a NOS programme:The interview was made in the Hilton Hotel and broadcasted on the 29th.
